Meet the lifelong Conejo Valley resident whose decades of community service reflects a life of loyalty, tradition, and heart
We’re excited to announce the Conejo Valley Days Parade Grand Marshal, Chris Carafelli!
Chris Carafelli was born in March 1978 at Westlake Village Hospital and has been proud to call the Conejo Valley home ever since. Born and raised in the community, Chris embodies the spirit of local tradition, service, and dedication that defines the area.
He is the son of Ray and Barbara Carafelli. His father, Ray “Boom-Boom” Carafelli, was honored as the Grand Marshal of Conejo Valley Days in 1990, a distinction that reflects the family’s deep roots and longstanding involvement in the community.
Chris began working at United Parcel Service (UPS) in April 1996. Over the course of nearly 30 years, he has built a career defined by hard work, reliability, and professionalism. His commitment to safety on the road has earned him recognition for more than 20 years of safe driving, a testament to his consistency and dedication.
Above all, Chris is a proud father to his two daughters, Christina (22) and Karli (19), whom he considers his pride and joy. Family has always been at the center of his life and values.
Chris has been devoted to community service since the age of 13, volunteering countless hours over the years. He currently serves as an active member of the Fargo’s Angel Parade Committee and has contributed his time and energy to numerous local organizations and events, including Meals on Wheels, Conejo Valley Days Special Kids Day, Conejo Valley Recreation & Park District Touch-A-Truck, and various Conejo Valley Days parade events and fundraisers.
His connection to Conejo Valley Days runs deep. In 1983, Chris was named 1st Place Tiny Tots Winner at Conejo Valley Days. Continuing that tradition decades later, he earned 1st Place Best Overall Beard in the 2025 CVD Whiskeroo Contest, a fun and spirited reflection of his ongoing involvement and community pride.
Through decades of service, professional dedication, and family commitment, Chris Carafelli remains a proud lifelong resident of the Conejo Valley, a man whose life reflects loyalty, tradition, and heart.
